WHAT IS AN NCIA AMBASSADOR?

NCIA Ambassadors are NCIA members who have directly recruited two or more businesses to join NCIA.

WHY SHOULD I BE AN NCIA AMBASSADOR?

As an NCIA Ambassador, you help ensure the success of your businesses and the cannabis industry by strengthening the only national trade association working on your behalf in Washington, D.C.

Plus, when you recruit new members, you help them access the opportunities, resources, and benefits that only NCIA provides.

We also provide great incentives for our Ambassadors, including promotional opportunities and free event registrations!

HOW DO I BECOME AN NCIA AMBASSADOR?

  • Directly recruit two new NCIA members in the current calendar year. Any company that works with or in the cannabis industry is eligible for NCIA membership, but we especially value a focus on companies that grow, sell, infuse, or extract cannabis products.

Each new member MUST list your name or your company’s name in the “referral” section of the NCIA membership application so that you can receive credit for your recruitment work. If someone you recruited to NCIA joins without listing you as the referrer on their application, NCIA will add your name if you contact us with documentation within 30 days of the new member’s join date. [In other words, please don’t email us at the end of the year with a list of new members that you referred to NCIA; instead, please contact us at membership@thecannabisindustry.org as soon as possible to assure credit if you have reason to think a new member forgot to list you as their referral source.]

  • NCIA has email templates and suggested language that we’re happy to share if you’d like to email your cannabis contacts to increase your recruitment activity. Contact membership@thecannabisindustry.org for sample language and for other ideas on how to grow your industry and NCIA’s member roster.
  • That’s it! You don’t need to sign up for anything or formalize your commitment since we’ll keep track of referrals on our end. Just go get ‘em!
