WEBINAR: Good Manufacturing Practices in the Age of COVID-19

NCIA’s educational webinars are brought to you by insight and expertise of NCIA members, NCIA staff, as well as regulatory and legal experts.

As the realizations of the Coronavirus sink in, one thing is certain – cannabis companies need to be leveraging good manufacturing practices, otherwise known as GMPs. GMPs are the practices required in order to conform to the guidelines recommended by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA is the public health agency in the United States that controls the authorization and licencing of the manufacture and sale of food and beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, dietary supplements, and medical devices. While many companies in cannabis are already following these guidelines, some are not.

This panel will explore the GMPs themselves, how companies can become compliant, how GMPs can be amplified to make certain that we are preventing the spread of COVID-19, and whether there are extra precautions that should be taken to keep cannabis consumers safe.
