Our Canadian affiliate company is Conscious Compensation Group Inc. based in British Columbia. Conscious Compensation© is our framework for helping companies pay its executives and employees consistent with the principles of conscious business and sustainability.

We help companies research, design, implement, and communicate compensation programs – salary and wage, cash incentives, profit sharing, equity compensation – and related systems such as performance management. This work includes executive compensation, sales compensation, and all-employee programs.

Formed in 2006, the firm has experience in all industry segments comprising the cannabis sector – agriculture, manufacturing, food processing, food and beverage hospitality, consumer products, software, biopharma, real estate, financial services, and retail.

Our firm is an active investor in the cannabis industry, with holdings in the US and Canada in both public and private companies.

Founder and President Fred Whittlesey is a Founding Member of the National Institute for Cannabis Investors, and is a member of NCIA’s Human Resources Committee and Sustainability Committee. He is co-founder of Global Equity Organization, a nonprofit professional association for equity compensation professionals.

Fred has recently published articles on MJBiz Daily, Cannabiz Central, Benzinga, Pot Portal, MJ Shareholders, and LeafWire, citing the firm’s research and assisting journalists with investigative journalism related to compensation in cannabis.

Fred also serves as an expert witness in compensation-related litigation.
