NCIA Blog Submission Guidelines

NCIA welcomes contributions from our members to provide educational, thought-provoking content for the cannabis industry. Our blog is a space to share expertise, spark discussion, and equip business leaders with the insights needed to navigate and shape the future of cannabis.

Who Can Submit

  • Annual NCIA Members: One blog per month (subject to availability).
  • Monthly & Quarterly Members: One blog per quarter.

Content Guidelines

  • Original Content Only: Blogs must be unpublished elsewhere.
  • Educational & Actionable: Content should deliver value to cannabis business professionals—guidance, solutions, trends, best practices, and analysis.
  • No Advertisements: Thought leadership is welcomed; sales pitches are not. Excessive company promotion, product placements, or overt marketing will be rejected.
  • Health & Wellness Content: Articles discussing cannabis and health, wellness, or medical applications will only be accepted if authored by a licensed healthcare professional or backed by credible, peer-reviewed research. Unverified medical claims, anecdotal evidence, and promotional health-related content will not be considered.
  • Length & Format: 800–1,000 words. Posts may include external links, images, or video.

Submission Process

  • Send Us the Final Draft: Send the final draft of your blog for review.
  • Collaboration: NCIA will work with authors on revisions and edits to ensure clarity, industry relevance, and impact.
  • Ownership & Distribution: NCIA retains publication rights and may distribute content through its platforms and partners. Authors are encouraged to share published posts widely.
