Operations and Marketing Communications Leadership Expands Expertise in Areas of Professional Services, Building Efficiency and Legal Cannabis Markets
DENVER (August 10, 2020)—Maverick Public Relations, a boutique public relations and communications agency promoting health, horticulture, science and sustainability customers across North America, is pleased to announce the addition of 20-year agency veteran Stan Wagner. As a Managing Partner, Stan leads the marketing communications for professional services. He is based out of Maverick’s City Park office in Denver.
Established in 2018, Maverick Public Relations is led by seasoned publicist Shawna Seldon McGregor. Maverick PR provides public relations, media training, investor relations, content development, thought leadership development, speaking engagements, response strategy/crisis management and event support.

Wagner joins Maverick Public Relations from urban-gro, Inc. where he served as Vice President of Marketing and was responsible for the marketing and public relations efforts of the company as it grew from five people to over 60 and a successful navigation of being publicly traded. Wagner’s experience also includes working in the built environment with a focus on energy and resource efficiency, engineering and commissioning firms across the United States. With a cross-functional background in marketing and operations, which includes a decade at Sterling Communications, a West Coast technology-focused PR agency, Wagner provides operations expertise to ensure a positive customer experience.
